Windows 8 RTM [Post Release Preview Theme] 2012-08-17 17:20:04 This will result in white window borders and a colored taskbar. 1. Select the desired taskbar color 2. Open regedit.exe 3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM 4. Set the value of EnableWindowColorization to 0 (default is 1) 5. Restart your computer or kill the Desktop Window Manager task in the Task Manger (it will warn you about shutting down your system but it will just reload the windows) Selecting another color will revert the change to EnableWindowColorization, so you have to do this every time.
